Sept 02 2021 - v 2.76.0 - Release Notes x360Cloud

Written By Heather Hootman ()

Updated at September 14th, 2021

Version

     2.76.0

When

     North America - September 1, 2021
     Europe - September 2, 2021

Goals

     Fix issues reported by users

Action Required

Additional permissions required for x360Cloud Google Marketplace application.

Google Workspace is requiring that all Google Contacts API calls be migrated to the new Google People API. This will require users to grant additional permissions to x360Cloud for it to be able to back up Google Workspace contacts with the new API.

Also, Google has announced that starting September 15, 2021, 10% of old Google Contacts API calls will return errors. The API will begin returning errors at a steadily increasing rate, until the error rate reaches 100% on December 15, 2021.

In order to keep your Google Workspace backups fully compliant, please grant the necessary x360Cloud permissions for each Google Workspace tenant protected by x360Cloud by following these steps:

  1. Log in to Google Admin panel at https://admin.google.com and navigate to the list of installed domain-wide applications by clicking Apps, Google Workspace Marketplace apps and then Apps list.
  2. If your account is in North America, navigate to the x360Cloud app. If your account is in Europe, navigate to the CloudFinder app. Then, click the Grant access link in the Data Access section.
  3. The data access Status should be automatically updated from "Partially granted" to “Granted.”

If you have any questions or issues with granting permissions, please log a support ticket.

Fixes

  • Fixes for customer escalations and markup issues.
  • Fix for the issue with Browser appearing empty after root folder tree node is collapsed and point-in-time is changed.

Known issues

  • Restoration for OneDrive documents backed up by earlier version of OneDrive connector is failing when launched from Browser. As a workaround, the documents can be successfully restored from the Search page.
  • Restoration status for partially-restored set of Microsoft 365 emails is shown as "Failed" instead of "Partial" in the new x360Cloud UI.
  • “Total number of licenses selected for backup” counter sometimes doesn’t reflect the actual number of protected users when bulk selection/de-selection is performed on the Accounts page.
  • Smart Search shows an incorrect number of matching results for Mail when using Filter by collection.
  • Descriptions for some issues and backup progress are not shown in the container-level downloadable backup report and on the Reports page.
  • Archive emails are restored in a separate (timestamped) target folder when restored with general emails.
