Release overview

x360Recover Bare Metal Restore 2.10.1 and 2.10.2 are Hotfix Releases.  The primary purpose of these releases is to fix bugs in the recently released  Incremental Bare Metal Recovery workflow.

Summary of bug fixes

  • Fixed issue where the most recent available restore point may not be seen by the recovery wizard
  • Fixed issues with incorrect progress reporting during Incremental Recovery phase
  • Fixed issue where recovery may fail with error ‘Failed to apply diff: DralApiError’
  • Fixed issues with refreshing the authentication token after expiration
  • Fixed issues with concurrent clone operations overloading system resources

Incremental Bare Metal Recovery

With Bare Metal Recovery v2.10.0+ in combination with x360Recover 16.0.0+ you may now perform multi-pass Incremental Bare Metal Recovery operations.

Incremental recovery allows you greatly reduce the downtime required to perform a recovery after a virtualization failover. You can now leave your virtual failover running as long as necessary to perform the full base image recovery. Backups of the running machine should continue to be taken, and updates can be applied incrementally to catch up with all changes.
