Release overview

x360Recover 16.0.1 is a Maintenance Hotfix Release. The primary focus of this release is to deploy a custom build for MongoDB 8.0 required for upgrading to Ubuntu Jammy (22.04 LTS).

Note: The default package for MongoDB is built with requirement for CPU feature ‘AVX’ which many existing systems running Desktop CPU types (including all Pentium and Celeron systems) do not have available.

Summary of new features

• MongoDB 8.0 without AVX requirement
• Added feature flag to support removal of Azure Egress fees (future support)
• Upgrade DRAL package to support Incremental BMR from Appliances (future support)

Auto Update Best Practices

We recommend that Enable Auto Update is enabled on the Settings -> Update Manager page on each of your Replibit devices.

We also recommend that you enable Auto-Enable Remote Assist When Upgrading so that remote access will be available to our development team should something go wrong with your upgrade. This will ensure that your Replibit devices are updated with the latest software enhancements in a timely fashion, and that the Replibit Support team will have a short window of time to access and repair any troublesome devices without requiring user intervention.
