Release Overview
x360Recover 17.1.0 is a Feature Release. The primary focus of this release is to provide Early Access for NAS Backups and improve user experience with new features.

- Replication can now be enabled without waiting for first backup to complete
- Option to automatically enable replication when new Protected Systems are registered
- Enforce endpoint password when deleting protected systems
- Validate essential web services are reachable when provisioning new devices
- Added backend support for client and partner data moves and mergers
- Added Virtualization support for RedHat-based Linux protected systems
Summary of Bug Fixes
- Fixed issues with macOS protected systems containing certain symbols and characters
- Fixed backup jobs showing Unix timestamp rather than human readable date/time
- Fixed issue with too long FTP user names, truncated to 32 characters maximum
- Fixed issue where Failed AutoVerify alerts might not be created for Direct to Cloud systems on self-hosted vaults
- Fixed race condition when updating the BootVM Checks parameter for a protected system
- Fixed issue with ticket error if ConnectWise ticket has been closed manually in PSA. Create a new ticket in this case
- Fixed issue where Recovery Import from USB job might fail to stop when stopped by user
- Fixed issue where Windows 7 64-bit systems with GPT system disks fail to boot
- Fixed issue where Server 2008R2 with GPT system disk fails to boot
- Fixed issues where Server 2008R2 with mixed configurations on different disks might fail to boot
- Fixed various issues with health reporting on GMP
- Fixed issues with Multi-Path disk detection on Ubuntu Jammy for some systems
- Fixed issue where special characters in Linux volume paths might be displaced as escape strings
- Fixed issue where some log files become huge if MBR record is not found when virtualizing a protected system
- Fixed backend error when retention cleanup is attempting to delete a snapshot that is in use
- Fixed regEx denial of service vulnerability

Auto Update Best Practices
We recommend that Enable Auto Update is enabled on the Settings -> Update Manager page on each of your Replibit devices.
We also recommend that you enable Auto-Enable Remote Assist When Upgrading so that remote access will be available to our development team should something go wrong with your upgrade. This will ensure that your Replibit devices are updated with the latest software enhancements in a timely fashion, and that the Replibit Support team will have a short window of time to access and repair any troublesome devices without requiring user intervention.
