New features

New Search tools

Expanded list of search and filtering criteria

In earlier versions of x360Cloud, our generic search UX did not consider the type of data being searched.

This made it difficult to find specific data, such as SharePoint files or emails, during a backup. These limited filtering capabilities remained generic and were not intuitive for users, causing inefficiencies and increased manual effort. Additionally, our partners’ requested some additional filtering parameters, so they could  quickly locate and restore individual objects or object groups.

In 4.30,  we are releasing a new version of the search UX, which is tailored to the type of data being searched.

Now, you can get additional relevant filtering options by specifying the type of objects in the “Object Type” selector:

These new filtering capabilities are available for all supported x360Cloud object types – Mail, Event, Contact and File, while also retaining the ability to search for Microsoft 365 Mail, OneDrive and SharePoint folders.

More detail on the new filtering options can be found here: x360Cloud Search data

Expanded Search results table

When a specific object type is selected, your search results are now shown in a more detailed table.

For example, when you search for Email, your search results table will expose email-specific properties like email subject, body, attachments, sender, sent date, etc.

Need to search through all historical versions of an object?

In case you need to find an historical object based on a specific keyword (such as when you know that the keyword was removed in later versions), then the new Search through all historical versions of objects option is for your convenience.

1. On the Search page, go to the Search Granularity section.

2. Check the Search through all historical versions of objects checkbox

3. Perform a search.

  • We recommend restoring only one version of an object at a time since differentiating the versions within the restored data may be challenging.

Search is normally performed only through the most recent versions of objects or through the versions matching the "Backup Date" filter, if it is applied.

Caution: Enabling this setting will allow you to search through all historical versions of objects. This  may result in objects that look like duplicates but in fact are different versions of the same object.

Fixes

  • The 100 GB data size limit for Mailbox exports has been removed.
  • Fix for the issue when the bulk users selection for protection using "Select All" doesn't apply to all users on the list.
  • Fix for the issue when the system cannot fetch a CW PSA companies list in case it contains more than 1000 companies.
  • Fix for the issue when mail backup is failing due to large attachments (100 MB)
  • Improvement for MS Calendar backup reliability, skipping corrupt calendars that cause server errors from Microsoft 365 API, allowing the system to proceed with backing up other calendars.
  • Fix for an intermittent problem when backup is failing for "jpg" and "png" files in SharePoint due to "timeout' errors from Microsoft.
  • Fix for the issue when SharePoint files were restored to a wrong folder path.
  • Fix for the issue when Export to PST failed for some old organizations.

Known issues

  • When folders are partially selected and restored in x360Cloud Browser, each folder is processed as a separate restoration and is restored to a separate target folder in the target location.
  • Descriptions for some issues and backup progress are not shown in the container-level downloadable backup report and on the Reports page.
  • Archive emails are restored in a separate (timestamped) target folder when restored with general emails.
