New Features

Ability to define whether deleted objects should be included into SharePoint site restore.

Previously, when restoring a SharePoint site, x360Cloud automatically included all backed up data — regardless of whether it had been deleted in SharePoint. This behavior often led to longer restore times and the introduction of redundant or unwanted data into the target restore location.

To give partners greater control and flexibility over the restore process, we’ve introduced a new feature that allows users to choose whether deleted data should be included in the site restore. By default, deleted data is excluded. If you prefer to include it, simply uncheck the exclusion option before initiating the restore.

When used in conjunction with the 'Backup Date' filter, this setting applies logically: only data deleted prior to the selected backup date will be considered. Applying the backup date filter ensures that data is restored exactly as it existed and was backed up at that point in time. Any changes — additions, updates, or deletions — made after the specified date will be excluded from the restore.

Fixes

  • Fixed the issue when backup fails after a channel is hard deleted from Team's channel list.
  • Fix for the issue when restoration of SP site with selected "Backup Date" restores everything beyond the date.
  • Added validation for selected 'backup date' date for SP exports to fix failures when backup date is specified earlier than site onboarding time.
  • Upgrade miscellaneous components of the system.

Known issues

  • When folders are partially selected and restored in x360Cloud Browser, each folder is processed as a separate restoration and is restored to a separate target folder in the target location.
  • Archive emails are restored in a separate (timestamped) target folder when restored with general emails.
