Configuring Multifactor Authentication

To ensure security and protect your data, Multifactor Authentication (MFA) is required for all accounts.


Although MFA was previously optional in the x360 Portal, we believe MFA is critical to ensure the security of your client data, given the increasing number of threats within the technology space.

After October 31, 2020, MFA access to the x360 Portal will become mandatory. To avoid losing access to the x360 Portal, please log in and set up MFA before October 31, 2020.

If you fail to set up MFA before October 31, 2020, you will not have access to the x360 Portal until you follow the setup wizard on your next login.

  1. Within your preferred browser, navigate to the x360 Portal Login page.

  2. If you have not yet set up MFA, the MFA Setup Wizard displays. Click the Start Setup button.

  3. Select your preferred method of authentication:

    1. Select Authenticate with App if you prefer to use an Authenticator App on your smartphone. This is the most secure option.

    2. Select Authenticate with SMS if you prefer to connect your phone number and receive codes through text (SMS) alerts. Individual messaging rates might apply.

  4. For example, if you select Authenticate with App:

    1. In the Download an Authentication App screen, review Authenticator App options and download an app if you haven't already completed this step. When you have an app on your smartphone, click the Next button.

    2. In the Connect Your App screen, follow the instructions for connecting your app. You can use the QR code for easy set up. You can also click the Secret Key link if you prefer to enter a code to complete the configuration process. Click the Next button when you are finished.

    3. Enter the 6-digit code from your authentication app. This will verify that the new account has been set up properly. Click the Next button when you are finished.

  5. After you enable your MFA, you will be presented with a set of ten one-time recovery codes. Record and save these ten recovery codes separately from the device being used for authentication. If the device you are using becomes damaged or lost, you will need to input one of these codes using some other method to access your account. Each code can be used one time only.

  6. When you have access to the x360 Portal, you can view your MFA settings in your Account Settings page .
